Farmhouse Lager + barrel-aged wild ale, 5%

This is a rustic thirst-quenching beer brewed with our friends from L'Atalante. The grist is Isaria 1924 barley malt and wheat malt, hopped with French and German hops, before a cold fermentation with a blend of Lager and French Saison yeast. It was then blended with a small portion of one year-old barrel-aged wild ale.
A rustic, funky, deliciously dry and bitter beer, with a great sour comeback in the end for complexity.

Bottle, directly from Le Soupir. Color: Lightly hazy pale golden, frothy white head. Aroma: Spicy, floral, some fruity tartness. Malty and hoppy at the same time. Taste: Complex mix of crisp malt, fruity (stone fruit, citrus) tartness, floral hop, subtle spicy Saison notes, some oak wood. Dry, fruity and bittery finish. Moderate tart and bitter. Just below medium body, below average carbonation. Very nice complexity.
