Bottle from Lekkerbier, St. Nicolaasga. Aroma is dark malt with lots of caramel, toffee, dried fruits, notes of piney hops and marmalade, orange. Strong bittersweet flavour. Body is a bit above medium. Nicely hoppy and malty Strong Ale

(Bottle) Brownish amber colour, hazy, with frothy tan head. Malty, hoppy nose with dried fruit, dates, maple syrup, orange peel, nuts, dark bread, resin and a touch of chocolate. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of caramel, resin, dates, raisin, orange peel, nuts, chocolate, hints of black pepper and a solid resiny, citric bitterness in a warming finish. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Rich and tasty, with a good hop presence. Nice one.

At a tasting, small bubbly head, cloudy deep red color, aroma of burned caramel, molasses and some bready maltiness behind, aroma of nuts, alcoholic liquor quite noticable but not too aggresive, caramel sweetness peeping through, some nuttiness and a hint of dried fruits. Very nice, should be drunk in small measures.

Bottle 33 cl: 9,2% ABV & 66 IBU in this version. Pours a hazy, reddish amber with a creamy, yellowish head. Nose is toffee and biscuit with heavy caramel. and a hint of smoke. Very solid bitterness. An Imperial Red Ale indeed. 140318

Flaska från SB som snart stått ett år. Mörk bärnstensfärgad med tjusigt, krämigt smutsvitt/beiget skum. Härligt nötiga toner med inslag av kolaremmar, bränt socker, torkad frukt, rostad malt, pumpernickel, mörk sirap och syltat apelsinskal med en hel del skalbeska. Snygg balans mellan söta maltaga smaker och syltig citrusbeska. Riktigt gott.

[ As Edge Brewing / Brewfist Brass Knuckles ].Clear medium red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, dried fruit, moderate hoppy, orange, wood - rind - tobacco. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, caramel, rind - wood, dried fruit, tobacco, alcohol. Közepes, tartós, bézs hab, sötétbarna szín. Malátás, karamelles illat. Karamelles, fűszeres, pörkölt malátás ízek, némi aszalt gyümölcsös beütéssel. Közepesen testes, enyhén szénsavas, erősen keserű. Jól össszerakott, korrekt sör.

Bottle from flavourly at 9.2% abv. Dark chestnut to copper colour with an off white head. Aroma is nutty, malty and toffee. Taste big bitter. Medium to full body.
