Dok is not one of my favorite breweries, but I love that they keep making Uytzet, the lost beer style of the fab city of Gent. This is brewed with Tritordeum, a new grain made by crossing durum wheat with wild Chilean barley. Bitter, earthy, nutty, dry.

Novel. Fairly bitter. Some toasted grains, grass, dirty hay. Faint yeast expression, a little raisin. Drinks fine.

18/XI/25 - on tap @ HoReCa Expo (Gent), BB: n/a (2025-1275) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
Clear deep orange blond beer, small creamy dense off-white head, unstable, falls down quickly, a bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, grains, caramel, a hint of roast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very malty, caramel, grains, good bitterness, cow fodder, a bit sourish. Aftertaste: nice bitterness, grassy, hay, barnyard, more bitter, slightly metallic, cow fodder, decent stuff!
