Dark brown. Aroma is mild chocolate. On the palate, some vanilla, maybe candied orange. These elements round things out, especially on the young base. Solid.

On tap. Pours black with almost no head. Aromas of sweet bourbon, dark fruit and roasted malts. Flavors of pot, dark fruit leaning towards figs, slight boozy bourbon, chocolate cake and roasted malts. Very dry considering the additions.

On tap at Luppolo, pours black with a tiny tan head. Aroma has modest bourbon barrel expression, subtle candied fruit, and very faint vanilla bean. Flavour is sweeter compared to the base, with some candied fruit expression melding well with the bourbon, finishing light-to-medium sweet, with oak and chocolate. Very nice—about as good as the base.

On tap at Luppolo. Pours black with a minimal tan head. Roasted malts and a blend of vanilla beans and bourbon on the nose. Flavour has a lot more of the candied fruit and vanilla beans, dark chocolate, some roast, and some woody bourbon barrels. Very well-executed, the candied fruit works very well here.
