A full-bodied lager beer of exuberant and robust character. It’s muscle-man body comes from decocted German malts and noble German hops. Lagered long and cold to refine its strong temperament, St. Boisterous emerges smooth and seductive, with a malty sweet charm. This classic rendition of the German ‘maibock' style will warm your heart.

Draught from BT. Poured a cloudy pale gold. Aroma of grass and malts. Pretty standard, more bocky than hellery though.

Notes from May 2009 Half gallon growler from Whole Foods. $10.99 for the fill. Poured into a plastic cup while sitting in a lawn chair with the Mets finishing up another good one in the background. Pours a clear, but less then vibrant, washed out bronze. Dollop of creme on top. Smell is predominately bread pudding & grainy crackers. It trails off with the smell of sticky beer residue. Taste is mainly composed of honey wheat bread & plain Cheerios. Yeast from middle to end, with a very mild(but still refreshing), leafy bite of bitterness. Finish is a trail of Euro-like caramelization & dry wheat. Carbonation is prickly at first, but fell off considerably on my taller pours. Alcohol is there, but only moderately aggressive. An okay lazy afternoon beer. Missing that second gear though.

Growler from Canal’s in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Pours a bright honey gold color with a medium-sized bite head and lovely clinging lace. Fresh grainy malt aroma with notes of citrus and honey. First sip yields a crisp sweet malt taste that displays remarkable balance and flavor. Very simple yet elegant and right on for the "maibock" style. The finish displays notes of honey, vanilla and citrus mixed with peppery hops.

This is quite full of sweet malts. Light finishing hops and noticeable alcohol, on the finish. Decent.
