Crystal clear, but super deep amber coloured body with a strong copper glow and a thinnish, single centimetre tall, just off-white, but rather large bubbled head. Aroma of alcohol, bitter malts, toffee, caramelised sugars with bunches of peanuts and pecans and a dose of light flowers near the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong nutty and malt body shows up at first with a dose of caramel, toffee, earth and some lightly bitter oaky and dry grainy notes hit towards the end, but the caramelised sugar and enjoyable nuts dominate the profile. Aftertaste shows the nutty and earthy qualities of the malt with a lot of dry notes and oaky qualities that make this more pungent as a lager than you'd see with ale yeast. Overall, an enjoyable marzen with a good bite from the nuts and earth, but the caramelised sugar rounds out the flavour and the robustness in a good way. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Hy-Vee in Omaha (Papillion), Nebraska on 07-October-2019 for US$1,99 sampled just two weeks later on 20-October-2019 at home back in Washington.

Draft. A- Bland, subtle caramel. A- Orange color, clear liquid, white head. T- Popcorn, caramel, toffee, butter, slightly sweet. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Not a lot of spice to it or maltiness for that matter, but there was a popcorn taste to it that made it stand out...not particularly in a great way.
