Light citrus but not a whole lot else going on here. Light sourness without much character. Pours golden with OK head. Mostly lemon aroma. Tap at Big Hunt.

Sampled at the Black Squirrel’s NKOTB event pours a hazy amber with basically no head. Nose has lemon rind, a little wet wood, some dried grasses, some vitamin C. Flavor has a big acetic note, lemon juice, lemon rind, some passion fruit. Oily and tart. A little ways to go on this one.

Draft in memory of Fred Eckhardt, who I had the honor of meeting at Fred Fest two years ago. We asked him for a picture, and he was so humble he went to take a picture of the two of us. We explained we wanted a picture with him in it! He looked puzzled, but obliged. And the beer has an orange perl aroma with a softly sour orange aroma. Tasty and easy drinking. Here’s to you, Fred.

Clear, slightly pale golden coloured body with a nice, fast-dying pure white head, resting to about a centimetre tall. Aroma of sour grapes, very light yeast, sour and salty scents, just like a gose with a subtle malt nose and just a touch of candy sweetness. Light-bodied; Subtle malt flavour at first that gives way to a very minor tart and sour flavour that fades to a bit of berries and a slightly bitter funk. Aftertaste is relatively bland and uninspired with a little yeast, some minor tart sweetness and a good deal of water. Overall, worse than I expected, but not a horrible beer. I’ll try more from this brewery as I find them, but this wasn’t a great introduction at all - this wasn’t a gose nor a sour or wild ale and it wasn’t a blonde, but i’m not quite sure what it was. I sampled this 32 ounce growler purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 02-August-2015 for US$5,00 (for all 32 ounces!!!) sampled at home later in the evening - what a great price, and this wasn’t even a great beer!

Draft at the brewery. Poured a light hazy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was light wild notes, more funky than anything. Light sweetness, with a hint of tart on the finish. very very very subtle tart fruit on the end.
