Hand pulled half pint at the Vine Inn, Nantwich on 17th December 2025. Almost black, tanned roof. Lightly smoked malty brew, coffee and chocolate traces, all a little messy and unbalanced for my palate.

Not the beer I came in for, but a new tick nevertheless. Very dark, not quite black coloured lower character stout for its regular strength despite the name. Taste and aftertaste have smoothish roasted qualities, but in aroma it's like a swimming baths with a booziness.
