Can from Eltham Wines. Black pour with a tan head. Dark roast coffee, butterscotch, profiteroles, caramel,raisin, dark chocolate nose. Quite an oily texture. Taste is chocolate caramel, cappuccino, dark roast coffee, raisin, spot of liquorice. Sweet dry roasty finish. Very nice.

ABV: 10.1%. Light cloudy dark black brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, sweet malt, dark malt, alcohol - bourbon, light licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, molasses, dark malt, coffee, chocolate, alcohol - bourbon, licorice - tobacco, sweet malt. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20200730]

Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, bourbon and light woody notes with some sweet black chocolate notes also perceptible. Taste is a great mix of bourbon notes with some woody notes, light vanilla with sweet black cholate notes. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Excellent barrel-aged sweet imperial stout.

16 oz can from Tavour. Nose is roasted coffee with a little chocolate. Black with a medium, lightly lacing, cinnamon tan head. Flavor is moderately bitter, roast coffee, and hints of chocolate and sweetness.
