Morticia is the end. Once experienced, other beer is bland and insipid. Black as a moonless night, her aroma tempting, her strength deceptively powerful. She is unrestrained at youth, and learns mercy only with time. Morticia overpowers the senses, then warms the soul. Nursing each sip you will be transformed. And as you reach the height of her enchantment, the pinnacle of ecstasy; she will break your neck and eat you. The end.

About a 6 oz. draft at EBF Boston, MA. 3 February, 2018. Full thick tan head on pitch black liquor. Aroma is smoky, toffee, scotch. Flavor also shows mild anise, wood, bolder scotch and a smoky essence. Shoe leather notes. Good full body and texture. A little too smoky for my own preference but a nice stout.

At the brewery: pours black with a brownish head. Aroma is dark chocolate, brewed coffee, some dark fruitiness, roasty malts. Taste is somewhat sweet, kind of fruity and chewy, large and roasty, plenty of chocolate. Alcohol relatively well covered but still present. Good.

Bottle from Consumers Beverage. Dark, inky black pour, small creamy beige head, sheets of lacing. Big roast grain aroma, chocolate, coffee, warmth from the alcohol. This rolls across the tongue, sweet and warm. Roasty bitterness, vanilla, chocolate. Delicious!

500mL capped bottle poured into mini Belgian goblet. Black beer tan head. Aroma is full of black malts - like a dry burnt. A little fume but low acidity. Well attenuated with a light malt sweetness. A light black malt bitterness, a light cocoa, and low hop. Just a bit of a fruity yeast. Nice done impy without all the stupid shit.
