Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Airy palate, a little dry, decent fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, a pretty good dark chocolate streak but a touch of artificial candy about it. Good rich ripe fruitiness. A good mix of the port and plum liqueur barrels. A tangy sweet - bitter thing going on and a little dry alcohol spice. Airy dry finish. A tasty and unusual affair, for me, not fully coherent but, enjoying the left field nature of it.

440ml can. Almost black pour with a small tan head. Aroma of dried fruits, raisins, dates, molasses. Taste is very rich, dried fruits, raisins, dates, molasses, chocolate, oaky barrels, warming booze. Full bodied, silky smooth.
Incredibly good beer. They've got the best of each style here - the sweet fruitiness of the BW, the chocolate malty flavours and fullness of the stout, and the barrels... excellently done.

Panda from Colin. Cheers. Opaque and oily appearing cola brown. Foamy beige head. Aroma had a punch. Forceful booze and sour berries/vinous notes over molasses and dark dough. Flavourwise it's quite sweet and burnt caramel with a bitter edge, that becomes more prominent into the finish. Booze. Espresso. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. I want to like it more but there's something slightly off-balance, a decimal point in the wrong place.

Thanks fonefan! Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorce, toffee, some mild alcohol with chocolate syrup as well as some nutty and dried fruity tones to it. Flavour is chocolaty, toffeeish, some mild alcohol, a bit plum and some really sweet figs and a bit raisins. Raisins and chocolatesyrupy aftertaste. Actually surprisingly delicious.
