This unique lager was brewed using Minnesota wild rice, Wisconsin Mt Hood and Super Saazer hops, and a resurrected yeast strain from a 19th century brewery in Wisconsin. Inspired by classic American-style Amber lagers, this beer presents flavors of berries, toast, nuttiness, and subtle spices. A creamy richness greets the palate and is finished by a dry and light feel making this beer highly drinkable. Brewed in collaboration with our downstate friends Triptych Brewing .

Deep brown color, slightly cloudy, under a pillowy white head. Kind of like the pre-Pro Brooklyn and Sam Adams lagers. Smell has a bit saison to it: unfiltered yeast and some toasted Minnesota wild rice. The rice and yeast come out in the taste too. Dry malty taste, very little sweetness. A bit of bitterness on the edges of the tongue.
