Pours a straw from a bottle. Very vegetal, slightly skunky, both in aroma and flavor. Meh.

Bottle. Clear golden yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of straw and subtle white pepper. Taste is bittersweet hay. OK.

Bottle. Pale yellow with small foamy white head, little hops aroma, high carbonation, slightly bitter watery taste, abrupt finish. Smooth but not as crisp as better Pilsners.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Clear straw color with a nice white head. Grassy nose with some faint biscuit and grain that come through. A touch of citrus as well in the nose. Taste is clean, crisp and refreshing. Great carbonation and mouthfeel for the style. A solid pilsner. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pilsner on 10 Aug 2017 at 20:19. A: Haystraw yellow with perhaps a bit of chill haze. Nice two finger rocky head with very good retention. Average to low carbonation swirling up. Good amount of lace left behind. S: Cracker malt and little else. A bit of grassy hops. Something somehow metallic detected though not off-putting. T: A biting dryness up front. Crisp crackers again which I like. Earthy hop flavor on the finish. Good balance and overall a fairly distinctive flavor. Very good. M: Light to medium mouthfeel with a nice tingle from fine textured carbonation. O: Another nice pilsner to add to my stable of favorites. Maybe not in my top 3 of the style but one I will surely always go back to.
