Appearance: Clear pale golden color with head. No head no lacing.
Aroma: Basement, fruity and rice.
Palate: Medium body and slightly sweet. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Apple, fusel, rice, fruity and yeast. Well masked alcohol.
Overall impression: I did not fancy this one. The other sake I tried from Nøgne Ø was really good..

From my sake backlog. 350 ml bottle at Nøgne ؘ Christmas party 2013. Clear, close to water in color with no head of course. A bit oily texture, looks quite attractive. Aroma is relatively strong citric fruit, hint of star fruit and rice. Flavor is sweet fruity, fruity acidic, hint of yeast, rice and almond with a certain touch of nice warming alcohol. Smooth body and sweet and refreshing acidic aftertaste. Well balanced and slightly fruitier than the other Sakes from Nøgne as far as I remember. Easy to drink, mild in esters, should not scare anyone away from tasting Sake this one.

Drank at room temperature. The consistency of the liquid is clear. The olfactory intensity is normal, and the olfactory persistence is sufficient. The taste on the nose - dominant aroma is of malted rice Koji. The taste on the nose - secondary aromas traces vanilla. The body is structured. The taste intensity is high, and the taste persistence is good. The taste is pleasant. The final mouth sensations are of drinkable sake. The aroma in the mouth bears signs of melon, fruit and apricot.

Bottled@The Hobbit Tasting. Very pale yellow colour with no head. Aroma is mild floral and some elderflowery notes with alcohol and mild peppery notes. Flavour is rice, some white peppery, alcoholic and mild elderflowery notes to it. Quite mild flavours, but still tasty.

Ok a bit of the bottle left .July 2023 8 yr old... now this isnt fair to it, but its really interesting as its all mushroom much like the other aged sake ive ahd even if ive not aged it well

350ml bottle. Clear very pale yellow colour, no head and aroma of rice, melon, booze. Taste is rice, caramel, melon and grassy alcohol burn. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry grassy through to a clean finish. Quite drinkable.
