180ml can from World Market. Nose is rice with slight hints of pear and apple (Asian pear?). Translucent very pale golden. Flavor is fruity and moderately sweet with a hint of bitterness in the finish.

Fruity, somewhat muted though, with light earth and soft mineral and a touch of roughness (alcohol, rice hull).
Soft, somewhat watery, again muted with cooked rice, alcohol and some borderline glue-like character. Obvious added alcohol here and it's not complex or interesting at all.

Sake on draft wowza at Seito Sushi. Clear pour. Nose nose of melon, spice and florals. Taste of watermelon, Asian pears, white flowers, peppery. Some booze present and thicker bodied.

180ml pull-top can from World Market. Dumped, not poured, into a wine glass. Color is slightly darker than water, but not by much. Aroma is sweat, rice, glue, dog shit, light fruit. Flavor is rice, booze, pear. Simple. Pretty smooth for the alcohol content. It's definitely warming but the booze flavor doesn't linger. Hey look, my first Saké - Genshu rating!
