Our Imperial Coconut Porter is a stronger version of robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. TCHO cocoa nibs were blended with the toasted coconut during the maturation process to intensify the aroma of coconut and dark chocolate.

Pours a nice near black with a khaki head from a bottle. Aroma is a rich malty chocolate, some notes of roasted coconut. Flavor is similar but much more muted. Thick silky mouthfeel, not a lot of alcohol burn. Good beer.

750 ml bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted coconut, caramel, fudge, marshmallow, toffee, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, cream, coffee, almonds, smoke, char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, cocoa nib, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted coconut, caramel, fudge, marshmallow, toffee, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, cream, coffee, almonds, smoke, char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted coconut, caramel, fudge, marshmallow, toffee, dark/brown bread, vanilla, cream, coffee, almonds, smoke, char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, cocoa nib, and light earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roasted bitter/sweet balance; and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is fantastic. Light sticky hops, chalky roast, and dryness. Zero warming alcohol for 9.4%. Overall this is an amazing flavored imperial porter! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, cocoa nib, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV. I love the regular beer, but this is definitely a huge step up on richness. Super fudgey and dessert like, but never cloying or overly sweet. Perfect balance of coconut, cocoa nib, and base porter malt complexity. A really amazing offering.

On tap at St. Augustine during 1500 menu event. Shared with mcberko (thx, Matt!). Pours an almost black with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt with some coconut notes. Taste is very sweet with coconut and lots of chocolate notes. Despite it is too sweet, it is pleasant.

Capped 750 from Corti Bros. Pours dark brown with a significant foamy tan head. Aroma is not quite Mounds Bar, but it’s certainly a near relation. Med ++ body. Flavor is oh so Mounds Bar. Woof! Ok. It’s oh so Woof! Someone just hit me with phaser on stun. This is luscious. The smooth dark malt elegantly supports the Mounds Bar. This is about as subtle as a brick. But it’s very, very delicious. It’s not very dry, but the coconut seems to stand in for balance. Stunning ale.

750 ml bottle. The beer is black with a smallish light brown head. Some lacing. The aroma has mild cola, moderate to medium coconut and a nice caramel-chocolate mix base. Nice coconut chocolate bar flavor. A bit of sunscreen but not much. Pretty nice depth of flavor in the taste. Moderate but gentle roast. Some dark chocolate to compliment the milk chocolate and caramel. Better coconut in the taste. Really a very nice toasted coconut flavor, quite authentic and tasty. Soft feel and it’s not too heavy but round enough on the palate. Packs a lot of flavor into a sub 10% abv beer and avoids the pitfalls of lower abv flavored imperial stouts/porters.

Crowler thanks to Phil. Pours black with the small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong coconut, roast, dark chocolate. Thin body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, boozy, really enjoyed this.
