After a lot of teasing, it’s time to officially unveil our special-edition Anniversary 3 sake! Since Shizuku entered our regular lineup last year, we got creative and made something different to celebrate this time around. Introducing, a fruity and bubbly tokubetsu (special) sake!
Tastes like: strawberry shortcake, brown sugar, radicchio, pomelo, watermelon rind
Pairs with: blue cheese, biscotti, chocolate fondue, monte cristo, seared scallops
Sounds like: kalimba

750mL pink wax bottle drunk 6/16/23.
Clear, with a light pearl tint. Frizzante.
Nose is lightly sweet rice, gentle fruitiness and hints of tropical fruit (but not coconut). Hint of acidity.
Flavor is soft, with good body, succulent rice sweetness and playful fruitiness. The gentle carbonation is lovely and it's not boozey and there's no coconut. Melon, rice, hint of guava. Perhaps a touch on the sweeter side overall, but the flavors are well-done.
