50cl bottle I brought back from Kathmandu. Pours a clear gold with ringing white head. Nose is what you expect from a 3rd world lager, buttery, honey, corn starch, lemon. Flavor is honey, corn, candy. Watery finish.

Bottle at the DC Expanded Sour Tasting. Shared by nimbleprop, thanks! Poured like a good old standard cheap Euro-style pale lager. Light skunk, lots of corn notes. Inofensive.

Found in Bandipur, about 125km northwest of Kathmandu. You don’t even see advertising for Iceberg until you’re past the halfway point on the Kathmandu-Pokhara highway. This is highly localized stuff! Pours darker-yellow with barely any head, and I tried to get some foam out of this one but it just wouldn’t bite. Aroma is all metal, water, alcohol, completely unappealing. Flavour is a corn mix with hints of lemon water, and just a little bit of grain in there to remind you you’re actually supposed to be drinking beer. Weak mouthfeel. Perhaps there’s a reason this beer isn’t more widely available.
