Imperial Stout w/ Canadian Whisskey
Blended with Canadian single malt, with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and spiced tobacco. This imperial stout will go down like smooth Corinthian leather.

Huge can. Pours a dark brown with full head. Aromas of chocolate, lactose, dark fruit, and roasted malts. Flavors follow same with more lactose and roasted malts, plus some nuttiness and a feel for whiskey rather than real flavors. I think the whiskey may be exaggerating the lactose notes. Stupid to put an imperial stout in a huge can. That’s just pure greed. Minus points.

568mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of roasted malt, a touch of whiskey, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour has medium toasted malt, a touch of roast, some smokiness from the whiskey, and a tiny touch of sugars. This shouldn’t work. Somewhat thin-bodied but it’s pleasant enough.

568mL can. Pours black with a beige head. Roasted malts, some nuts, and light whiskey on the nose. Flavour has a pretty solid roast character, whiskey, some earthy coffee, a bit nutty. Questionable concept, but turned out quite nicely.

Beautiful dark brown, more of a toasty, nutty aroma. Lightish body for style. Light nutty, mild roasted coffee, some chocolatey richness to the body in the end. A bit of alcohol as well. Good flavour development but this is begging for some richer sugars. It’s a good beer.
But this idea, if amped up to baller levels like 14%, would be another level of class, and a base for phenomenal things, like a four year heaven hill or willett residency.
