Coffee and vanilla stout inspired by the classic Italian dish with a hat tip to a certain feline friend. Brewed with our friends at the Roost coffee roastery in Malton, this full bodied stout showcases dark, roasted flavours from their Tonto Espresso blend. These mellow and blossom with notes sweet and lush vanilla to make the perfect dessert in a pint form.

440ml can from Cat in the Glass. Gluten Free. Dark chestnut brown colour, foamy beige head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, chocolate, ashy, coffee, vanilla. Taste is sweet, chocolatey, malty, roasty, with coffee, biscuit, vanilla, and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying roasted bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Can from Lupe Pintos. Black body with a thick beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of tiramisu and almond. Flavour of coffee and chocolate. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Rich and flavourful.

440ml can at Tønne, Leicester. Mid-brown and pretty translucent with a small uneven swirl of beige head. Sweet creamy vanilla on the nose. Less of the coffee here. I'm also getting light notes of caramel. Taste is sweet, more vanilla here. Tempered by the dark malts. Light body with heavier carbonation. Quite good but I think I want more from it.
