A rich malt body accented by a refreshing hop tang. A true European-style Pilsner beer that stands tall against its lighter-bodied, low-hopped relatives.

Bottle in hotel room, picked up at a Hy-Vee in Lincoln, NE. Pours a light golden, clear appearance with a white head. Fairly dry, husky, grainy pils malty aroma. Rich grainy, pils malty, straw, light honey, grassy flavor with a crisp finish. Not bad.

Very lively pour with a thick head - a bit hazy, which is odd for the style, but I will not hold that against it - lightly yeasty nose, with some grass and peppery noble hops - lightly sweet pils malt - full but non-abrasive carbonation - fairly clean flavor - lean, clean malts, floral character, a touch of yeast - dries out through the finish, but the hops are a tab overly-bitter and soapy - falls apart a little at the end.

Bottle: Bright golden pour with a creamy finger of white head. Aroma is dry and wheaty, floral, and lightly malty sweet. Initially good pilsener bite with a mix of yeast, florals, and breadiness. Finished with a crisp floral and dandelion ending. Not bad.

12oz bottle. Clean filtered yellow-orange. Impressive inch of foamy head. The aroma is pretty true to style, with yeasty creaminess and spicy hops. The taste is a little underwhelming, not as crisp as I had hoped for. Comes off more like a Kellerbier. Very much yeast dominates, albeit apparently filtered. Drinkable and enjoyable, but not world class.

Bottle. Pours a gold with just a slight haze to it and a thinnish sudsy head. Aromas are pleasant enough: grass and lemon with biscuit. Flavor is fairly decent, but maybe has a bit too much malt and not quite enough zest from hops for my taste. Doesn’t quite come off as crisp enough for me. Still, it’s pretty decent for a pils.

Deep golden beer with a metallic-greenish shine; medium fine white head, fed by lively carbonation. ??Very fruity nose at first, with raspberries and exotic fruit; and quite some C-like hops. Later some cardboard, but still quite aromatic. Dry-hoppy Pilsner, "herb" like the best German samples. Bit of pale, not very sweet malts underneath, even a bit toasted. Grapey hops. Spritzy MF & light body, but that is no problem within this style; refreshing. If Pilsners were made more like this one, we wouldn’t look down upon the style so much. Very good orientation, DaveDave!

12 oz. bottle from csbosox. Pour is a clear yellow gold with a 4 inch white head. Aroma of some very mild Saaz hops, and very muted biscuit malts. True to the nose, the flavor if pretty much a watered down Pilsener taste. There are no off tastes in this, so it doesn’t taste bad. Just a bit thin, and a bit flavorless. Up the ingredients Schell, and you’d have a winner here. Thanks for bringing this one back from Iowa, Chris.

Pour is a bright golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma is floral hops and a nice sweet malt. Flavor is clean and crisp with some hops showing and also a grain. Decent little beer and something you could drink many of in one session.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very pale yellow color with a large white head. The aroma is sour, tangy and vaguely skunky. There is very little body and the beer is horrendously overcarbonated. The favor has vague sour tangy macro malts with a hint of skunk. Drain pour.
