Deeply hazy and opaque orange and copper coloured body with a thin and faint off-white head. Aroma of fruit, light alcohol, bunches of sour notes and even more fruity elements - nice and light throughout. Light-bodied; Sharp sour flavour at first then a very fresh wheat and grassy flavour that then finishes with more fruit and light sugars than you can imagine, and amazingly great for the summertime. Aftertaste is nice and mild with bunches of fruit with the slightly chalky papaya hitting first, but the ridiculously sour and nicely balanced passionfruit is noticeable and a touch of pineapple sweetness lingers at the end. Overall, a very nice and deeply enjoyable beer at summertime and beneficial at any season to have a beer crafted this well. Definitely recommended and if they have it when you visit - try it, you will enjoy it. I sampled this sample purchased on draught at the brewpub in Washington, DC after a Nationals game on 20-May-2015 for US$3,00.

5oz pour at the brewery pours a lightly hazy orange with a ring of fast fading head. I was surprised at how much papaya was in the nose, not neccesarily juicy but definitely fruit, some orange too, some straw, lemon rind. Flavor is more identifiable as a gose, the briny character comes in, straw, some sea water, quite a bit of papaya though, some under ripened melon too. Oily finish. Rather interesting.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy golden color with a small off-white head. Aroma was a standard gose character, light sea breeze, some mild fruits. Flavor has more of the papaya come through. Light soapy notes, with some mild sea salt toward the finish.

Draft at the source. Cloudy golden color with a slight orange hue. Aroma of tropical fruit, orange peel, distant seashore. Nice earthy papaya and passionfruit flavor with lots of fruity esters. The earthiness works really well with the fruit. Makes me think that papaya would work really well in a berliner weisse (hint, hint, please, please!). This one will be popular.
