At the source from a growler: pours a dark gold with a white head. Aroma is piny with a little bit of the citrusy. Taste is medium bitter. Quite piny. Not sweet. Lingering bitterly hoppy aftertaste. Nice.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a clear orange with some lacing white head. Nose of lemon and muddled citrus, some pine and soap, mild candy, a little toffee. Flavor is what you want from an APA, some chewy malt, a little toffee, bright lemon and a little grapefruit, some pine and soap, a little grass. Crisp finish. Solid.

Tap. Pours hazy butterscotch, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is a bit buttery, pine, grapefruit. Flavor is pine, a bit of caramel, spruce tips. Light plus sweet, light plus bitter, no real butter here. Fullish body for style, creamy. Kind of old school, but not bad.
