Bottled. Pouted yellow. Hints of wheat and bananas, kind of cereal grainy too a bit underwhelming.

Refrigerated 75 Cl brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is herbal, medium watery body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is herbal, estery, bready, and buttery.

Location: Draft at Monticello, 5/3/14
Aroma: It has a pale malt and wheat nose, with some citrus and grains
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden color with a white head and some decent lace
Flavor: Flavor-wise, I got some decent wheat, grains, spice, and a dry, citrusy finish
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a plus carbonation, and an okay mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I thought this was an okay beer. I wasn't sure what to expect, so my expectations weren't exceeded nor was it much worse than I expected. It's fine

Pale golden coloured body with a light soapy white head. Aroma of skunk, coconuts, pale malt, corn, coriander seed and a hint of grass and quite a bit of hay. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong hay flavour with some earth and cardboardie malts noticeable with a hint of alcohol and a definite but hard to notice coconut and odd fruit sweetness that hits hard. Aftertaste shows a skunky flavour with some cardboard and other assertive bitter notes. Overall, an interesting and relatively complex beer, for the style. Not a horrible beer to sample, but not the best value for money, especially from this brewer. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased on 24-November-2012 at Crystal City Wine Shop in Arlington, Virginia for US$10.99 sampled at home in Washington on 22-December-2012.

Tap. Pours hazy golden yellow with a small creamy head that dissipates with good lacing. Aroma is very weak, with faint notes of wheat and lemon. Flavor is wheat, some lemon and a bit of grass. Bland and watery.

Honey and cornbread, slightly buttery, with white sage accents. Cloudy amber, medium head. Buttered corn pone flavor. White sage is present but less prominent on the palate. Thin mouthfeel. The butteriness could be an infection, but it isn’t unpleasant. In fact, it works well with the other flavors and aromas.

750ml bottle, split three ways. Poured a slightly hazy light golden yellow color with a small one finger white head. Aroma was sweet fruits, sugar, lemon, caramel. Flavor was sweet malts, sugar notes, fruits (apples in particular), touch of lemons. Not really worth the ~$11 I spent, but I did enjoy it more than the others who have rated it.

Bottle. Golden body with a fizzy white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of toasted grain, citrus and butter. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes the same. Medium body, watery texture and moderate carbonation. Strong buttery taste that overpowers the other flavors — caramel, lemon, earthiness, sugar. Combine that with the moderate carbonation and it not only tastes like butter, it approaches the mouthfeel of it. Interesting to try considering the history of the recipe. Thanks, Mike.

Sampled on draft at Mellow Mushroom in Charlottesville, then sampled again at Beer Run, just to make sure it could really be this bad. It can. Pours a pale yellow color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Malty aroma with notes of butter and rotten fruit. The taste is butter, caramel, corn, rotten fruit, banana and faint earthy hops. Medium bodied. Really not a good beer at all.
