A rich dark amber beer with full-flavored, smooth taste nicely accented with satisfying notes of roasted malt and subtle bottom fermenting yeast tones.

Bottle. Pours dark amber, though taste is very light. A bit sweet on first taste, nice hoppiness to the finish. I have had a pretty decent range of tastes from this beer, depending on freshness.

Nice label. Very good repeating beer. Nice dark beer with a transparent sight. Very smooth while drinking out of my steelers mug. Finish has a little lasting slight malt or hop.

Relatively good. Can’t say it was bad, but just tasted like a standard hoppy, light caramel/chocolate flavor, I did enjoy it though.

bottle - Pours brown with a moderate head. The smell is mostly roasted malts. The smooth, moderately thick palate brings in the nice roast malt flavors in this simple but fairly tastey beer. It’s not great, but it is a solid session beer.

Bottle. Nutty dark malt and caramel aroma. Dark reddish brown color with slight head. Nice complex flavor for the style - hazlenut initially followed by caramel malt and ending with a mixture of chocolate and hops. Nice mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. A very good dunkel that should be easily assessible

Translucent brown pour with thin head that quickly dissipated. Weak to moderate aroma of caramel malts. Sweet flavors of toasted malts and caramel. Thin body, carbonated sipping.

Draught
Beautiful dark copper brown with medium off-white head. Lightly metallic, malty and smokey nose. Malty, quite thin with some hops shown in the finish. Lacks dunkel character, more like dark lager. 4/4/4/2/9 2.3

Deep amber-copper color, small beige head. Caramelly-grainy aroma. Medium-bodied. Warming alcohol. Sweetish caramel, harsh hoppyness, bready. German version of Baltic dark lagers. 6/3/6/3/12 3.0

This was pretty much a cheap German lager with dark food coloring. I didn't get much character out of this dunkel, although it was sweet. Otherwise the aroma had hints of metallic hops. A lame example; I'm surprised this is actually referred to as a dunkel on this website as it lacks character.
