Bottle from Sherrys Wine and Liquor. Pours a hazy lighter orange color with a frothy beige head. Clean, yeasty aroma, with some light spice, fruit, and a light malt. Flavor is along the same lines, fairly balanced, easy drinking. Soft mouthfeel. Solid stuff.

Bottle from Modern Liquors. Nice crisp, dry Saison. Pours out with a pale golden body, fluffy, area head. While head dissipates, streaky lacing remains. Light citrus aroma reminds of pineapple and grapefruit. Other floral notes come into the taste, tangy finish. Light and tasty.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Hazy orange, thin fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of pale malt, yeast, dry citrus, lemongrass and yuzu. The taste is dry stone fruits, citrus, yeast, pale malt. Medium bodied, dry, high carbonation. Very nice.

P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, yeasty finish. O- A nice soft and easy to drink beer. Had a lot of the bubblegum I expect in a hefe that was certainly welcoming.

Draught at Moe’s Tavern, 8/10/15.
Blonde-golden body shows good clarity and plentiful carbonation and is topped by a moderate amount of white head showing good retention.
Very typical Belgian golden nose shows light banana, clove and bits of bubblegum. Dries out nicely on the end, after a brief honey/pale malt interlude, with black pepper phenols and the amarillo citrus kick. Clean, not overhopped and pretty graceful on the ester profile, nothing crude here. No alcohol noted.
Good dose of carbonation, and a fairly substantial body with lots of bread dough-like sweetness, honey and more varied grains. Fruit notes from both yeast and hop range from banana to tangerine, and there’s a good herbal and grass quality, as well; so it’s not all American hop notes. Nice showing of dry phenols on the end, quite peppery and really helping to cut in to the body, which is pretty big here. Well-done overall though it lacks any distinguishable character from any other American produced Belgian golden ale (though it’s very clean and not messy/overdone, which, I guess, these days is one way of distinguishing yourself...). Probably won’t go nuts to try their other stuff, but will certainly have it if it’s on tap where I am.

Draft at Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont. Poured a very cloudy golden color with a small off-white head. Aroma was lots of tropical fruits, some funky barnhouse notes from brett or whatever. Interesting. Touch of sweetness on this one.
