Brooklyn Dry Stout is a bold, reddish-black Irish-style stout, rich in color but low in alcohol and very drinkable. The dark colors results from brewing with roasted malts, lending Brooklyn Dry Stout a chocolate/coffee-like flavor with a bit of an espresso bite. The finish is dry and crisp and invites another pint.

Bottle from The Lazy Dog Pours a solid dark brown/black color with a decent sized bubbly tan head that slowly dissipates to a cap on top. Aromas of bitter coffee with a hint of chocolate and a touch of earth and dark fruit. The flavor is bitter roast and light chocolate with a hint of acrid earth. Light to medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a slick sharp mouthfeel. Nice dry stout, a little bit sweeter than the standard Guinness, but a nice easy drinker.

Bottle: Poured a dark color stout with a large brown foamy head with very limited retention. Aroma of light dry roasted malt is not as powerful as I had expected. Taste is reminiscent of dry roasted malt with light Coke notes. Body is thin and carbonation is way too strong for style and resemble more of a cola than a beer. Drainpour.

(bottle) very dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of roast, coffee; simple flavour with a long light sour finish; slightly slick palate; blah

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a decent crema head. Nose - gentle earthy note, tiny hint of smoke. Chocolate finally comes through in a subtle way. Taste - more of the same and again subtle. Palate - light in body and texture is also light. A long dry finish. Overall - like a watered down version of a good beer.

Not bad at all. A little pluckier than your average pint of Guinness. Some creamy texture, roast malt with burnt crispness. Pours cloudy black without much head or lacing. Medium finish. Tap for free at Whole foods market. Word!

355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue. Short head doesn’t last. Light coffee aromas, hint of treacle. Taste had roasted bitterness. Bit thin. Ok.

Light ash and coffee malt aroma. Dark black with moderate tan head. Lightly sweet chocolate-coffee malt and ash flavor. Body a bit light. Decent.

12 fl.oz. bottle, BB May 2014, 4.7%
Dark brown in the glass, malty roasted-dry nose. The mainpart is roasted, malty. Slightly sour. The mainpart is a bit flat. The roasted dry aroma is great, but the body is a bit thin - especially for the 4.7%. The aftertaste is a nice mixture between the stout-sourness and the dark roasted espresso-flavours. But the body remains thin. Even watery.
Highly drinkable session-stout, but for real savour, it could be much deeper in aroma. --> 12/13/10/11

Draught@Black Heart, London. Deeo ambery brown colour with a small creamy longlasting head. Aroma is caramel, coffee, some resin, mild berries and some nuttiness. Flavour is very similar, but the flavour doesn’t stay for very long in the aftertaste.
