Export India Porter with Simcoe®, Idaho 7® & Centennial

A bold, modern approach to a historic style, blending four speciality malts each more caramelised & roasty than the last. Layers of nuttiness & brown sugar compliment the smooth texture, while generous hopping, using classic US varieties, brings out notes of fragrant spice among a bright citrus aroma.

This beer needs more love than it’s getting. Black with a beige head. Big malty, chocolate, roasted notes up front followed by a layer of pine dank before shifting back to coffee and dark chocolate. Full bodied. The bittersweet notes keeps it dry and there is a nice hop bitterness but this is not a CDA- it is clearly a hopped up porter. Lovely.

440ml can. Pours black with a dense tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast malts, orange peel. Taste is all roast malts, coffee, dark chocolate, the hops give a nice orange citrus bite and some pine, finishes with very roasty bitterness. Medium bodied.
A great example of the style, doesn't try to be a Black IPA like many others do these days, it's still got that proper malty porter character at heart.
