Mashed, as always, with local barley, a helping of dextrin malt along with a smattering of the worlds finest crystal, chocolate and caramel malts. Intensely hopped with crowd pleasing citra along with old school centennial and columbus for a citrus punch with a smattering of dank. Fermented with our preferred house “westy” yeast strain for maximum crushability.

Meaning “of or pertaining to winter, Brumal is a brand new west coast crusher that aims to help celebrate the ushering of winter. As we enter into the season of the darkest night, in both color and flavor, this offering aims to keep us grounded and present. Seasons, much like fresh IPAs, are fleeting, so enjoy the naked trees while you can with this hoppy treat in hand.

For those who have been in craft beer as long as we have, this black WCIPA will be a welcomed treat. The frigid temps simply beg for some malty structure and this new IPA provides just that. Inspired by beers like Wookey Jack and other IPAs from the early aughts, satisfying dark malty types and hop heads alike, this is the beer you’ll find us getting cozy with this winter.

$4.95 single from Appalachian. No stamp, but I'm told it's fresh. They have an old canning system.

Pint glass at home.
Sturdy tan head. Opaque, dark, matte brown on black.
Floral with some lime zest; cigarettes.
Lime, soap, candied orange, floral, decent bitter earthiness, cola. A touch sweet. The burps have the missing city & it's lovely. It's not a potent IPA but it's tasty.
Frothy, lingering, warming,
Okay to good. Expected something stiffer.

Excellent Black IPA from the flower kids at Fonta Flora. Dark roasty notes of coffee and chocolate mixed with classic West Coast IPA citrus and pine. Finishes with a nice mix of dark beer maltiness and bitter hops. Tasty.
