This cider is a sweet version of our black currant cider. Black currant is a dark purple berry that provides a tart, uniquely complex berry taste. Black currants, widely known in Europe as Cassis are a traditional combination with ciders.

Shiggy with the hook.

Goblet at home on the porch. A cool, dry, Asheville evening.
Medium pale gold pour. Lots of chunky, yeasty bits in suspension. Faint fizz but but past its prime.
Wet forest floor & lots of floral currants. Base smells more like pears than apple. Perceivably sharp, earthy & soapy.
Sweet n tart base with a soapy floral grapey-ness from the currants. Subtle cider vinegar acidity. Pear blend? Sweet-Tarts. Leans sweet overall.
Slightly goopy texture, good acid, snappy tartness, middling abv & good drinkability.

Refreshing slosh in between bigger things. Hard to go wrong with currants.
