Bottle. A very tasty IPA. Deep amber in color with a two finger off-white head. Aroma is citrusy and cedar. Taste has the usual IPA flavor but itβs really mellowed out with the malty finish.

Bottle from Harris Teeter, Hampstead, North Carolina. Dark amber-copper with a small head. Strong tasting with a robust pale ale texture and taste. There is a fruitiness here.

10 week old bottle > pint glass A: Poured hard to only 1/4" beige head. Faded quickly to a bubble ring. Deep clear red brown color. S: Malty smell of leaves and toffee. Faint orange citrus notes. T: Bitter orange hop flavor with pith and zest. Roasty with a leafy note and no sweetness. Orange zest aftertaste. M: Medium body, average to bright carbonation and a clean finish. O: Pretty good IPA but strikes me more as a fall than spring seasonal.

Draft at Rustico. Poured a clear ruby red color with a small white head. Aroma was resin, sweet malts. Light floral character. Very mild hop cone flowers comes through on the back of the tongue. Tasty \.

Some citrus and a little rust. More like a strong red than an IPA. Copper amber pour with OK head. Light bitter finish.

Packaged on 02/25/15.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy dark red color with a slight transparency about it. A one finger white foamy head dissipated within about less than thirty seconds leaving some stringy lacing roaming around the sides of the glass.
The smell had a big sweet citrus arranging itself tightly in and around some light sweet caramel malts. It comes across nice and bittersweet.
The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors to combine and flavor. A light sweet sticky caramel to citrus aftertaste leads into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed appropriately styled and had a nice sweet sticky bitterness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, I dig it as a malty Red IPA, if there was such a style.

Marigold, pine, rosehip, and grapefruit nose. Clear tea, medium yellow head. Tea and marigold flavor. Dandelion finish. Medium body, harsh mouthfeel, some astringency. Not my favorite flavors in a beer, but well made and distinctive.
