From Civil War scrawls on the walls of Graffiti House to illicit aerosol artistry we all endeavor to leave our mark. Our Graffiti House West Coast Style IPA asserts its presence with a potent aroma of passion fruit, mango, guava, and citrus. The bold and juicy tropical body is a unique signature of the Mosaic hops, while Cascade hops contribute to a clean citrus finish for a flavor so singular it leaves its own indelible impression.

Bottle. Hazy and amber in colour, with a thin, white, head. Aroma of tangerine fruits with some citrus hops. Flavour had more fruit, a touch of white pepper, rich tea malts, and a dryish finish. Fine.

Somewhere in Virginia: pours a bronze amber color with an off white head. Aroma is citrus with a good bit of pine and some other fruitiness. Did not really see this as being too good kf an example of what a west coast IPA is. Not bad though.

Deep amber coloured body with a ruby and a copper glow, all with a decent one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of malt, earth, nuts, light grassy hops and little else - not as much hops in the nose as I’d expect from the style. Medium-bodied; Assertive malt flavours up front with a creamy texture, some earthiness, toffee, caramel and only the faintest bit of hops noticeable. Aftertaste shows some balance with sweetness and malt, but there are simply no hops in this one at the end. Overall, a pretty disappointing beer with only a touch of hops and little other flavours except for some malt and toffee. Definitely worth passing over even if you found this for cheap - there isn’t anything special about this at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia on 02-August-2015 for US$2,72 sampled at home in Washington on 27-April-2016.

16oz pint at Spacebar pours a mostly clear, dark orange with some lacing white head. Nose has malt, cracker, a little caramel, orange, some under ripe mango, light melon. Flavor of chewy malt, biscuit, orange, light soap, some muddled tropical fruit. Chewy finish. Solid.

Keg at Spacebar, 4/6/15. Clear copper, thin fizzy white head, decent retention. Aroma of doughy malt, floral and earthy hops. The taste is snappy citrus and earthy hops, caramel malt. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.
