Keg at Sedona Charlottesville. Hazy orange, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of bready malt, yeast, mild plum and marzipan. The taste is yeast, apples, stone fruit, bready malt, hints of rye. Medium bodied, mild lingering spice.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy copper with an off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of coriander and citrus with some light butterscotch. Bitter finish.

Great, crystal clear ruby, violet and deep copper coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall tan head - very nice looking throughout, but the hue is great. Aroma of curacao, coriander seed, yeast, wheat, alcohol, icing sugar and quite a bit of full oranges. Full-bodied; Chewy malty/wheat flavour at first with a good orange and curacao flavour and a bit of the alcohol showing through, but a bunch of yeast and bread notes show as well. Aftertaste is quite pungent from the alcohol and wheat, but some icing sugar and orange flavours also come through at the tail end. Overall, a nice and rich beer with some good flavour aspects, but nothing revolutionary or steller - simply, a well produced beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 28-March-2015 for US$6,99 sampled at home in Washington on 25-June-2015.

Bottle courtesy of solidfunk, thanks! Cloudy golden color, almost murky, tan edge head. Aroma has lots of mixed spice. Taste is spiced caramel and brown bread, boozy finish. OK.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color, some hazy notes. Head was mostly off-white in nature, foamy. Aroma was some banana, clove, light pepper notes. Yeast notes, banana. Light spices. Didn’t hit the spot, but wasn’t bad.

Wow. Haven’t had a new tick from Lost Coast in a really long time (1 in ’11 and the rest ’08 and earlier). The 22oz bomber pours with a somewhat opaque deep copper body that supports a thin light tan head. The aroma offers up plums, honey drizzled peach, raisin, Belgian candi sugar, a dash of bubble gum and faint yeasty spiciness. The taste starts with plum and pear and apple like sweet fruitiness. To midway the candi sugar surges forward as well as a bit of bubble gum, yeasty spices and then it gets a dash peppery. Decent.
