Pouring a brilliant orange color with a mountain of foam, Batch 9000 is a trip to the tropics. We utilized an experimental hop variety from our friends at Segal Ranch dubbed D55. From the crack of the can, intense aromas of ruby red grapefruit, pomelo zest, and overripe pineapple fill the air. Within its fluffy and saturated body, subtle notes of honeysuckle and sweet cherry blossom are revealed from a vigorous pour.

We’ve made a heck of a lot of beer, on the same system with a lot of the same people, for nine years now. Our warehouse resembles a small city, with its can pallets stacked to the ceiling like skyscrapers. Hundreds of new proper cans have joined the towering rows of orange, purple, red, and green. We’ve burst at the seams with creativity and have touched every corner of the state and beyond. We approach each new batch with a beginner’s mind and the belief that we can improve every beer we make. Day after day, and year after year, a series of subtle enhancements can result in incredible progress. This mindset has enabled us to evolve and grow into a better version of ourselves with every batch.

Canned 1/16/26, drunk 2/14/26.
A quick burst of the commercial description-mentioned overripe pineapple, but it's quickly softened by heavily fruity yeast and rich, soft, honey-like malts. Sweet, ripe, ruby red grapefruit seems accurate, as well. Very low acidity, only coming from the pineapple character initially, then fully giving way to yeast and malt.
Super juicy, fruity, tropical, citrusy. Soft, sticky texture with plentiful malt, tending on the sweeter side, but there's a good, citrusy bitterness to combat it. With warming and breathing it actually seems to get more bitter, to the benefit of the beer. Really nice balance of malt and hop here and unlike a lot of their special IPAs, it has almost no twangy character. The overripe pineapple hinted at at first in the nose is nowhere to be found. Really creamy, succulent, rich, but not overdone stuff.

Pours a hazy, orange-pineapple, with mid-sized head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit. Flavors follow. Soft mouthfeel. Very mild levels of hop bitterness in the finish. Clearly, they've figured things out...
