Keg at the brewery tap during RBWG ’15, 20/02/15. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is charr, tangy dark fruits, berry, spice, chocolate. Taste comprises chocolate, toffee fudge, hint lactic, spice, charr, dates. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough FS.

Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2015. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Rich dark malt character, burnt wood, cocoa, scorched earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Good balance on the finish, lots more cocoa, well roasted malts, earthy bitterness. Very good.

Draft at Rapp Brewing during the RBWG 2015 bus tour. Black with beige head. Aromas of roast, chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, licorice, light roast. Light body with a dry finish.

Draft at the source. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of coffee, light bubblegum, toffee and cocoa. Medium body.

On tap at the brewery during RBWG. Pours a clear brown with ruby hue and small beige head. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Slick mouthfeel with rich roasted malt dark chocolate and light booze. Very nice.

Draft at the source during RBWG 2015. Pretty close to black, tan head. Aroma of light roast, taste is also light roast. Good.
