Gose with Horseradish and a bit of Dill
Our Křen is an unconventional gose with a sharp dose of fresh horseradish, a pinch of dill, and the signature salinity of the style. Sour, spicy, and surprisingly refreshing.
Křen is a beer that doesn’t hold back. Inspired by traditional German gose, but boldly forging its own path in terms of flavour. We added a generous amount of fresh horseradish to the base, bringing sharp heat, brightness, and a bold, unmistakable character. It’s rounded out with a touch of fresh dill, which adds a gentle herbal note and, together with the classic salinity of the style, creates a surprisingly balanced and flavour-layered experience. The acidity ties it all together and gives the beer a crisp, refreshing edge. The result? Beer with a kick. Refreshing, bold, playful – perfect for anyone not afraid to step outside the usual beer boundaries.

12.2.2026. Can at Maly pivo (pic). Thin bod, lowish carbo. Med-light sour, low sweet, bitter. No beeriness at all, bit also sadly pretty low horseraddish. Result feels quite watery, boring. Drinkable, but meh. 6,3.
28.3.2026. Tap at Maly pivo. A bit more horseraddish perceived this time around, still only med-light though. Thin bod, med-light carbo. A bit sulfury farty aroma, which is probably the horseraddish, but then it is not that present in flavour. Drinkable, goodish. 6,6.

Tap at Winter Affair 2026, enormous thanks Eitan for getting it for me while I was waiting for the special Marlobobo. Golden body, white head. Lean, dry horseradish-driven aroma. Lean, dry taste, more horseradish, some dill too, citric notes, light saltiness, light and clean. Very well made, lovely for what it is, but not for everyone (me included).
