A new Vigneronne is born!
As you know, here at Cantillon we take the utmost care to produce our beer as naturally as possible. Because the Muscat grapes used for the Vigneronne were not organic, we decided to move to an organic producer and to use wine grapes instead of table grapes. After some research, we couldn't find organic Muscat, but we did find organic Viognier grapes.
We love Viognier wine; aromatic and delicate, with nice fruity notes. We're sure that all these qualities will pair well with Lambic. The grapes come from Minervois area in the South of France, cultivated in a more natural way on a clay-limestone soil.
Even though we decided to move from Muscat grapes to Viognier, the name will remain the same. We did decide to change the label to avoid any confusion between past releases with Muscat grapes. The new one features a fantastic design by our wonderful graphist and friend, Ammo.

A golden lambic with a very thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity mix of tart berries, ground cherry, light lactic notes, Epsom salts, light horseblanket, very nice. In mouth, a nice tart mix of ground cherry, light lactic notes, light corky notes, horseblanket, Epsom salts, very nice. On tap at Lupulus.

Hazy, dullish pale. Bubbly head. The muscat brings some sweetness to an otherwise barrelly lambic. Palate shows the same. Complex, woody lambic with a sweet muscat overlay. A bit of straw but the base is balanced, not a ton of funk. A bit of brett c and mix of bugs though.

On tap at Threefold. Pours clear golden blonde with a white head. Great musty grape skin character and light citric acidity on the nose. Flavour has tart white wine grape skins, good must, light acidity, slightly floral. Tastes a bit young, but still fantastic.

On tap at Armsby Abbey on Zwanze Day.
Hazy deep straw color without much of a head. Gentle vinuos notes against a backdrop of earthy funkiness. Pretty Tasty.

Draft pour at Zwanze Day 2026, at The Sovereign in Washington DC. Poured a hazy yellow-orange color with not much of a head at all, maybe wispy? Aroma was light grapes Really pleasant, crisp, vibrant citrus. Really, really nice stuff.

Draft at the source. Almost clear light golden with almost no head. Light butter, wheat, vanilla, spocy grapes, sweet grape juice, light zesty. Medium seeet, less sour. Full bodied. Nice.
