Our flagship brew, and a year round offering in kegs and cans, Nanticoke Nectar starts with citrus notes that progress into bold grapefruit and pine, then finishes clean with a balanced, hoppy bitterness. A subtle yet deep English malt profile elevates the hop notes while a slight sweetness underlines the brew.
Cascade, Centennial, and Citra hops.

Pint at Union Jack's. Pours a clear, golden color, with a fair, bubbly, off-white head. The nose is resin, orange peel, coriander, lemongrass, and light leather. Dryish, zesty, and grainy. Medium body, crisp, and sticky. Solid and sharp.

Canned in December. Just unclear amber with a foamy white head that collapses a bit. Aroma of vague citrus, weeds, pine needles, light breadcrust. Almost herbal pine to the fore with caramelised malt before fairly strong bitterness as fruit re-emerges. Characterful.

Super deep and hazy amber and even light brown/copper coloured body with a glow of brown and a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bread, yeast, light pine, alcohol, a dash of citrus fruits and a more herbal characteristic, especially near the end, showing some perfume as well. Medium-bodied; Strong, very herbal and piney hop bite that doesn't show much bitterness, but does show some bite and alcohol with the malt, light sweetness and grain notes behind. Aftertaste shows a punch from the alcohol and yeastie flavours with a grass and perfume hop quality that shows relatively well, but without any alpha acids or real depth. Overall, a clear East Coast IPA with a decidedly malty and bready backbone that hits more of the grain than hops, but still nice to try as a local beer. Not really recommended, as I had this fresh and sampled as an East-Coaster, but this wasn't great compared to most others. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 08-January-2020 sampled shortly thereafter on 08-January-2020.
