Miracle Weizenbock is our tribute to the most magical time of year here in Hampden. Our take on an old-world German-style strong wheat beer is brewed with 4 different varieties of wheat and backed by Vienna barley malt, this dark, unfiltered ale has a full-bodied mouthfeel, a rich and satisfying malty finish and notes of clove spice from traditional hefeweizen yeast.

Draft at Rustico. Poured a dark, almost black color with a small tan head. Aroma was light chocolate, roasted malts are heavy in this one. Light woody notes. Flavor was roasted malts, light spice notes and a finish of light chocolate. Alcohol is pretty well hidden.

Cask pour at Churchkey, finished w/ ginger & chocolate. Dunkelweizen doesn’t care as well as a cask pour, resulting in a dull pour. Ginger dominates the aroma, softened by a bit of chocolate sweetness. Additives add some flavor, but hard to tell what the underlying brew would taste like. Slick body, ginger lasts through to finish. Don’t mess with the Reinheitsgebot.

Nicely done for style. A hint of smoke in this and light florals. Pours black with good head and lacing. Finishes with a touch of tang. Good palate with some complexity. Very drinkable. Hint of oak in here as well. Tap at Right proper.

16oz pour at the source. Pours an oily brown with some fast fading white head. Nose has some raisin, clove, malt, banana, sugary. Flavor is spot on for the style, sweet, raisin, orange, clove, a little white pepper, plum and prune, sugary, a little root veg. Full bodied, sweet finish. Solid.
