Bottle at CBJ Tasting. Dark and inky. No head. Aroma has coffee and soy sauce. Flavourwise it has espresso and mocha with a boozy edge and underlying figs and molasses. Thick. Oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Noice.

Sweet, sugary, some maple syrup, soft roast, moderate ash, toffee. Some dark fruit, cherries. Nice one, drinkable for a big pastry offering.

Bottle share at CBJ. Thanks to Wingman. Near opaque dark brown beer, a few dark tan bubbles. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, a mild dryness, reasonable fine carbonation. Fairly rich chocolate, a good mix of dark and milk. Mild marshmallow sweetness. Fair amount of spice on the smooth back end. Could be more sumptuous but liking the taste.

Bottle split at the Craft Beer Junction tasting, thanks to Dave, 29/01/2026.
Black pour topped with a light tan covering.
Nose is chocolate, molasses, dark malts, toasted brown sugars.
Taste comprises coffee, mellow roast, chocolate, charr.
Full bodied, light oily feel, semi drying close with a mellow boost.
Okay sipper if no wow offered.
