Deep dark brown coloured body with a relatively nice, two to three centimetre tall light brown head that fades to just about nothing covering the top of the beer, a few seconds later. Aroma of roasted malt, lactose, cherries, light nuts, some pungent oatmeal and a good dose of vanilla across the board that gives this a bit more creaminess than usual, but a lot of lactose, as well. Medium to almost Full-bodied; Strong, rich nutty and very vanilla-y flavours dominate with some lactose, oatmeal and nuts all front and centre with a good sweetness that comes off the inital flavours and showing some slight bitterness from nuts, coffee and chocolate towards the end. Aftertaste shows some good earth and especially nutty flavours with a lot of robust qualities and a dry bite with some coffee and lactose at the finish. Overall, a nice and biting, very creamy, very smooth and vanilla-y beer with some deeper malts, a lot of roasted and pungent, caramelised sugars and finishing with a lot of dry, malty, bitter flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 29-May-2020 for US$2,79 sampled at my house here in Washington on 17-November-2020.

Tap at Sly Fox. Pretty classic medium bodied Stout. Oat gives the body some pleasant depth. Sweet, not a lot going on. OK.

Lightly sweet. Nice oat taste with good roast. Pours black, dark brown with ok head and lacing. Light sweetness. Pretty good, respectable entry for style. Cask at Churchkey.

Cask at Phoenixvillle location....deepest brown with red highlights (looks black)....no head once settled....pungent cocoa and burnt malt aroma...i smell dark chocolate as well..flavors mimic the aromas very closely....bakers cocoa stands out in front...body is flat due to the cask...but I enjoy it....however palate is not as hearty as other senses detect...I managed to drink it down though :)...finishes bitter
