Another 12 oz. purchased at The Beer Shoppe, Ardmore, PA. Pitch black color with spotty head in a Brew Dog snifter. Aroma is right from the start rye malt and lingering chocolate and caramel / toffee.

Mouthfeel is great with this one, creamy texture with fuller body. Very respectable level of roasted malt and grain. The spicy rye body really gives this Porter a great balance with the sweet dark chocolate. The Brewers got this one correct, very enjoyable.

Thanks AirForceHops. Dark black, decent head that fades to an espresso colored head with big bubbles. Nose is nice. Lots of coffee roast, yogurt, some cream corn and a bit of pepper. Creamy mouthfeel almost like a mousse or creamy dessert coffee drink. Spice throughout that lingers for a while after the sip. very low sweetness chocolate with a hop bitterness. Clean and drinkable.

Oh yes, big impy stout aroma, without being volatile. Big and black yet not terribly black. Some co2 int there fer sure, barely perceivable. Taste is first alky laced dark semi sweet choco then it goes into impy stout made. Some creaminess detected on the finish. Typical imp stout with some reserve. Long bitter finish after each slug. Yes, general non porter effect, not even Baltic, just plain refined impy stout. fer sure.

12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Bottled 8/26/2014. Black with around a finger of tan head. Aromas of rye, chocolate, caramel, spice. Tastes of rye, chocolate, spices, astringent/chemical notes. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Started out okay but falls short from the astringency.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a medium sized rocky-fluffy dark tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was very strong cocoa powder, vanilla, toasty and roasty malts. The flavor was strong cocoa powder, semi sweet, roasty malts and hints of smoke, coffee and vanilla. Very long finish with smoke and roastiness lingering. Medium body but very creamy. Nice.

Bottle. Black and opaque, with a short-lived, tan, head. Massive, milk chocolate aroma, with a peppery, boozy edge. Flavour had some dense, toasty rye malts, lots more, slightly sweet, chocolate, leading to a decent, bitter, finish. Enjoyable,

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a very dark brown with a large foamy brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of chocolate, roast, rye, peanuts, caramel. The taste is chocolate, rye, earth, berry like fruits, roast, mild vanilla and caramel. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness. Nice beer.
