A toast to the changing of the leaves with a cask aged cider from last season’s harvest. A crisp autumnal delight crafted from select vintage apples, infused with a blend of Appalachian wildflower and blueberry honeys.

Bottle at RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours a very pale yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma has lots of sweet honey with a bit of dry apple. Flavor is full of very sweet honey and apples with a bit of dryness to mellow out the sweetness in the finish.

Bottle in the hotel room on Sunday morning, wrapping up RBWG. Pours clear, pale yellow. It’s a very musty cider, pretty dry, not much apple sweetness. Some rotten apples on the nose. Medium bodied, still. Dry finish, some dank basement, musty apples, cobwebs, soft funk. Interesting. Takes some getting used to.

750ml swing top bottle I picked up at Perfect Pour. Pours a honey gold with zero head. Hard to spot any effervescence. Nose has apples, obviously, a little bit of lurking acid, buttery like a chardonnay. Flavor is very nice, lightly sweet, lightly tart, apple, lemon, a little buttery. Super smooth finish, lightly oily. Drinks like it’s 4 %. Very nice.
