Draught, taster. @City Tap Penn Quarter, Washington DC (DC). 05/09/2024 [#7.784 Global - #1.635 United States of America - #2 Denizens Brewing Company] Pours clear amber with a tiny white head. Aroma: nutty malts, toffee and spices. Taste: nutty malts and toffee. Watery palate. Next one, please!

32oz growler from the brewery pours a clear brick red with a ring of white head. Nose has pears and apple, malt, toast, hints of raw cocoa nib even. Flavor has tobacco leaf, raw chocolate, apple, some dried orange, bread, lightly tannic with tea. Dry finish. Ok, but a bit all over the place.

4 oz pour on draft at Denizens. Clear golden amber with beige head. Aromas of biscuit, floral notes, toast. Tastes of biscuit, toast, citrus. Medium body with a dry finish.

Tap. Pours clear burnt umber, medium beige head, great lacing. Aroma is popcorn, caramel, pine. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter, a bit of cardboard, caramel, grass, pine. Medium body, soft mouthfeel.

Northeast Bucket List Trip Beer #12. Pours a clear copper with a thin frothy tan head. Aroma of nuts, herbal and green hops. The taste is caramel, stone fruits, nuts. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Draft at the source. Clear golden color, bright white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel. Taste is herbal caramel, light bitterness at the finish. Tasty.

Had this on tap at Mussel Bar in Bethesda MD. Poured a ruby red color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light sweet malt notes, some earthy hop character. Some bready character. Flavor was light malts, sweetness. Flavorful.
