Cardiff Mini-break Beer#7. The second of two cask from Scotland, driven through England to be drank in Wales in the capital's Head Of Steam. A very traditional styling with a subtle dark malt combined with a sweet pseudo-liquor flavour. Tasty in a slightly too easy texture.

Keg at Fierce. It pours essentially black with a rugged tan head. The aroma is toasty, smooth roast, cacao, milk chocolate, coffee, mocha, rocky road, light vanilla, toasted nut and praline. The taste is initially fairly smooth, then dries out, toasted nut, roasted malt, some umami, earthy, chewy, toothy, cacao nibs, leathery, tannin and some black bun with a drying, dark roast finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Decent toasty Scottish style ale.
