A birthday celebration calls for a QIPA! There’s nothing more us than a big-hitting banging beer and we’ve held nothing back for this birthday QIPA. Brewing beer to this strength always provides a backbone of ethanol sweetness so we’ve used Clean Fusion™, developed by our friends at One Drop, to clean up the liquid and extract every last drop of flavour in the hops.

We’ve blended Idaho 7, Motueka, Citra Cryo, Strata CGX and Mosaic to pull towards a fruity and dank flavour profile. Fresh melon, white grape and a Chinese green tea characteristic is layered on top of a gentle black pepper spice paired perfectly with a tropical lychee round off, keeping the bitterness and sweetness perfectly balanced in this boozy beer.

Keg at Brewdog Paddington, London. A hazy golden/orange/yellow coloured pour with a decent white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, pine, melon, lychee, green tea, grape, tropical fruit aroma and taste. There is a lot going on here, really complex and enjoyable, very decent.

Panda from Colin. Cheers. Hazy light orange. Frothy bubbly white head. Aroma has chewy stone fruit and porridge. Flavourwise it combines sweet syrupy fruit with a boozy bitterness. Thick. Creamy. Flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Yep.

440ml can. Murky yellow with a white head. Aroma of guava, papaya, grape, melon. Taste of fresh and juicy exotic fruits, guava, lychee, melon, grape, hops are intense but stop short of giving any hop burn, there is some warming booze though. Full bodied, smooth.
Can't believe it's 2026 and we're still doing QIPAs, but I have to admit, this was a great one.

Keg at Brewdog Lothian Road. Pours milky yellow with no head. Aromas of booze warmth and ripe tropical fruit. Taste is more of the same. I expect a bit more for £8 a third.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Hazy and slightly yellowish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin bodied pale malts, a nice light creamy sweetness. Dunno who wrote the description for this brew but, fuck me, superb palate! Exactly as described for the hop side, sweet green tea, lychee and black pepper. There is a tangy hop spicy bitterness over a melon streaked citrus and stone fruits. Airy and semi dry finish leaves a long hop spicy linger. Very nicely done. So light and dangerously drinkable and also, a bit off the beaten track.

440ml can. Pours very hazy dull gold with a medium head. Aroma is very dank, hop burn, mango, onion and a little alcohol. Taste has overripe mango and hop oils throughout, with a sweet onion hop finish.

Can at home, from 73 Enid Street, 14/02/2026.
Murky light golden orange topped with a lasting creamy white head.
Nose is bitter tropicana, grass, weed, sharp citric shreds, almost a vinegar like ester about it.
Taste comprises ripe tropical fruit ester, pine resin, dank edged, grass, hop spice, grapefruit, guava, putty.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close splice with juicy come resinous hop bitterness allied to a rising boost.
Decent QIPA that never runs overly sweet.

Pours murky milky pale yellow with a decent white cap that thins in the middle. Loads of fresh melon, green tea, lychee, peppery hop, hint of grain. Really thick.on the mouthfeel and a real boozy punch to it. Quite a light, fresh finish with just a hint of peppery hop. Solid hop joose
