For this Armagnac geuze, we blended lambikken from two small Armagnac barrels from Domaine Laballe, a nano Armagnac distillery from Paerleboscq, France. We aged two-and-a-half-year old lambikken for another good nineteen months before blending with some young lambik. The weighted average age of the blend amounts up to 36 months. All four lambikken used in this blend, have been brewed with cereals from Pajottenland.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy orangish golden, thin beige head. Aroma: Funky, fruity gooseberry and apple. Taste: Moderate tartness, rural and a little leathery funk, oak wood, fruity apple and some gooseberry, floral notes, some vanilla, spicy hints. Lightly boozy hints. Long lasting dry-ish finish. Medium body, below average carbonation. Nice complexity.

Bottle with Brandt, Gurthnar and Zhenya. Clearish golden body, some heady. Bretty, floral, raisiny aroma. Dry, yet fairly juicy taste, floral, apple pith, mild raisins, some tartness, smooth, loooow glue, light spicy bitterness, mild warmth. So much fun! The best of the three today!

Med-thin bod, light carbo. Med sour, med-light sweet, light tart. Surprisingly tame, a bit of oxidation going on, in a med-light honeyish way, good though. Med funky, good complex funk. Overall quite good, but the others were better.
