Can. Dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma is malty vanilla with hints of whiskey. Taste was slightly malty sweet upfront with a vanilla whiskey finish.

Dark brown with a tall, foamy head. Mild vanilla aroma with bitter chocolate undertones. Taste is mildly bitter, full of roasted grains. The vanilla at the end does a nice job in keeping it interesting. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

On tap at Avondale, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out tempered vanilla character, with a mild toasted malt backbone. Flavour is along the same lines, with a bit more pronounced vanilla upfront, with a dry toasted malt base. Decently constructed but not particularly exciting. It's okay.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Dark brownish-amber color with a medium beige head and a top ring of lacing. Aroma of vanilla and roasted malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of cocoa, slightly stale malt and a bit of coffee. The finish is short and chocolatey. Slightly above overall.
