Tap @ Char, Cookeville, Tennessee. Cloudy amber-brown with a thin head. It’s mild for a mild! Has a hint of roasted malt and a gentle sweetness, which is just about the dominant of the two.

Growler. Cloudy brown with an off-white head. Light caramel aroma. Some nutty banana as well. The flavor is lightly sweet, no real hop bitterness here.

Decent nose, caramel with a slight yeasty apple back. Pour’s okay, a copper-gold with a slight head and light lacing. Taste never quite takes off, though, with hints of caramel and biscuit, yet with homebrew-ish pungent malt undercurrent, one that kinda keeps the pint from being enjoyable. Finishes mildly sweet, caramel and wet grain on the fade. Not good.

Keg at the Beer Sellar, Nashville, listed as ’James Henry Walker’ 15/02/15. Chestnut brown with a decent light beige covering. Nose is biscuit, straw, toffee, vanilla. Taste comprises caramel, malty backbone, nutty, biscuit, light fruit rinse. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair, just a badly constructed brown ale.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Clear amber color, tan head. Aroma of light caramel. Taste has toasted caramel. Decent body for a mild.
