Can from the local sprouts grocery. Pours. translucent gold with a modern white head. Aroma is a somewhat complex tropical mix. Medium body. Juicy and somewhat thin in a strange way. Lightly sweet, but there’s almost enough bitter for balance. i’m going to go with mango citrus and a hint of coconut for flavor. With time it seems to acquire a Jolly Rancher candy, sweetness. It was pretty good til that cropped up. Well it wasn’t pretty good cause it was a little bit thin, but it’s drinkable.

I have been less impressed by New Belgium's Voodoo Ranger line of IPAs than I am at their skillful marketing approach. Do not be afraid to reinvent yourself and be willing to give people what they want in as many separate products as possible. Last week I found a 19.2 oz can of G-Force in the single-serving cooler at the closest supermarket. It is a convenience store-friendly 11% ABV IPA, nothing wrong with that, just part of the strategy. The can is opened and a small bar glass awaits. The appearance is an amber-gold body followed by a large head of absolutely white foam that eventually settles. I smell tropical fruit, yellow fruit and not anything else that can get through. A drink and I can say I was prepared to dislike this beer. But I do not. First off I have to say that any relationship between this brew and a traditional IPA, hazy or not, is minimal. There is plenty of mango flavor, maybe some orange zest, tangerine, white bread and a registering of bitterness at the end. The alcohol will present itself later I trust, I don't notice it very much in the tasting so far. Easy to drink, no doubt on that. The total impression is like that of a fruit flavored malt liquor but more aspirational. Tasty enough. Not a beer I plan to look for later but I would certainly drink one if offered.

Imperial pint can. Papaya aroma with notes of mango, pineapple, passionfruit, grapefruit and tangerine. Pours close golden colored with a large off white head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with juicy papaya, mango and tangerine flavors. Finishes smooth but a touch dry with pineapple, passionfruit and grapefruit flavors. Juice bomb but quite good.

500 l can. Clean golden beer under a fizzly head. Fruity smell with apricot and papaya. Stone fruit juice in the taste, too. Then there's some nice prickly hop sharpness. For it's high alcohol and surprise hoppiness, It's a very easy drinker.

Wow, this is gross. I expected just a regular supercharged hazy but this is full of some sort of juice. It has a strong mango aroma, reminds of the old V8 splash tropical juice, and definitely of the Bud Light Mango Michelada. Flavor is super sickly sweet, full of mango and tropical fruit and a wash of boozy fusels. Syrupy body. Absolutely no redeeming qualities other than "are you looking for a nasty quick buzz?" Can from a gas station as it should be with garbage like this.

19.2 oz. can. Pours a hazy-ish orange color, with a big, foamy, white head. The aroma is papaya, butterscotch, pineapple, and candy orange. Sweet and sugary, with a strange, medicinal finish. Medium body, lively, and a bit sticky. Over done and cloying. There are worse...
